Water Filtration Systems Process Wash Water
Evans Equipment & Environmental provides a variety of industrial equipment to process
wash water through mechanical filtration. The application is suitable for any type of
business that cleans heavy equipment, vehicles, trucks or industrial systems where
washing occurs.
The process varies, depending on the technology used, but in general, waste water is
filtered through cloth or granular filters to screen out tiny particles of dirt and
other solid matter from the water. These solids remain on the filtering agent, while
the water is filtered and further processed for odor control.
By introducing bacteria into the mechanical filtration sequence, you have a natural
way to treat wash water. This process is called bioremediation, which using microbes
to naturally eat away the oil and grease. Another filtration process uses electrocoagulation
and polymers to treat emulsified oils and heavy metals, essentially separating suspended
solids from the water for removal.
