Wastewater Evaporation Removes Solids from Wash Water

Evaporation technology plays a significant role in the process of treating large amounts of wastewater. Water will naturally evaporate over time, so when businesses need to evaporate larger amounts of wash water, they turn to Evans Equipment & Environmental for an evaporation system.

A wastewater evaporator is an energy efficient way to process at rates of up to 60 gallons of wash water per hour. Evaporation technology uses high heat to remove excess water. Picture a pot of water boiling on the stove; if you let it boil continuously, the level of water decreases, as steam is formed and water evaporates. The same application applies in waste water evaporation, albeit a little more complicated.

The wash water is heated with electric, natural-gas, or diesel fuel in a heavy-duty combustion chamber, where it evaporates, leaving oil, dirt and debris in the form of sludge.
